A 5th wheel to Gooseneck adapter pin box like the Reese Goosebox # RP85FR or Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel-Gooseneck Pin Box # 325-GH-8045 are designed to work with any truck with a gooseneck hitch, so it will work just fine with your 2003 Dodge Ram 2500. The compatibility will come into play with your trailer, as both of those pin box replacements are designed to replace a Lippert 1621 model pin box, so as long as your 5th wheel has a Lippert 1621 pin box then you can use one of these pin boxes.

When it comes to the height of the pin boxes, the Reese Goosebox # RP85FR is 27.64" from the base of the coupler to the top bolt hole; the Gen-Y # 325-GH-8045 is 25.71" from the top bolt to the base of the coupler so it's a bit shorter. If you're concerned with the trailer not towing level, then you'll want to measure from the base of where the king pin mounts to the trailer to the ground; you'll then measure from the ground to the height of the truck bed and the difference would be the optimal height of the king pin.
