Does Hydrastar HS481-8067 Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator Include Charger for Break Away System

Hey guys! Im towing a 2005 Crownline 240EX on a Shorlandr tandem trailer with surge disc brakes with my 2004 Avalanche 2500. I have the Prodigy P2 controller installed, and it worked nicely with the Titan BrakeRite I kit on a previously converted trailer. This time Im looking at the Hydrastar HS481-8067 for its streamline profile and single battery setup. 2 questions: 1 Does the included breakaway kit of the HS481 have a self charger? 2 Also can I use this HS481 kit WITHOUT using the provided controller adapter, since the P2 will not need it? Thanks!

According to Hydrastar, their # HS481-8067 vented Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator system does indeed include a charger for the battery used by the break away system. The charger would connect to the 12-volt trailer connector feed from the tow vehicle.

Since your # 90885 Tekonsha Prodigy P2 brake controller is EOH actuator compatible, you won't need to use the adapter module that's included with the kit.
