Hello, I would like to know if the line or cable can be cut that holds the lock to the Tri-Ball coupler..? It looks like by cutting this cable, you can simply remove the coupler at the hitch. Please tell me if that is possible. Thank you,

If you cut the steel cable of the Curt Tri-Ball Trailer Coupler Lock # C48CR the pin lock that keeps the coupler locked on to the balls of this lock would not be affected. The cable is basically there just to keep it all together so that you don't lose any components.
