Question:
Domingo asked: I have a adapter to my my bike rack into a 2. Why there is such a price difference between the MaxxTow Trailer Hitch Receiver Adapter and HT5R Brophy Trailer Hitch Receiver Adapter?... You answered by assuming the MT70355 but MaxxTow also has the almost identical 80875 which fits both Class I and II, as does the Brophy HT5R adapter. Again the price difference is large, Why is there such a large price difference? Hard to believe its because the Brophy provides one more inch of rise.

MaxxTow specifically lists their adapter as only being compatible with Class II hitches. Regardless of any dimensions that may suggest otherwise, this is the information that comes from the manufacturer. The Brophy # HT5R does not have this limitation.
In addition to the Class I and Class II compatibility the Brophy has, there is also the quality to consider. The Brophy adapter is going to be a higher quality product when compared to the MaxxTow adapter.
