Will the Mighty Mount 39H # Y03539 Allow Me to Fit My Yakima Mako to My OEM BMW Crossbars?

Question:

I have a 2014 BMW X3 and got a used OEM Factory cross bar set for it. Unfortunately my old Yakima Mako Saddles are designed only for round bars. Will the Mighty Mount 39h allow me to use my existing Mako saddles on the BMW?

I have a great alternative for you. Even though the Mighty Mount 39H Accessory Adapter # Y03539 technically works with the older Mako saddles, Yakima recommends you use the Universal MightyMounts for Yakima Roof Mounted Accessories # Y03590. There are a couple of reasons for this. Firstly, the Universal MightyMounts comes with "A" and "B" bails that will give you a better fitting option with your factory crossbars on your 2014 BMW X3. The second reason is that the Universal MightyMounts come with the option to add Yakima Same-Key Lock Cores # Y07204 in order to protect your investment.
