Solar Panel Upgrade Due To RV Appliances Drawing Too Much Power
Question:
My van has one of your 110W solar panels on the roof, a recent addition from the guys who do conversion work on my Ford Transit. It charges two 12v batteries I use when im not on shore power. I wasnt able to power a dometic cooler fridge/freezer that draws about 60W a day with it for more than a day, a day and a half. Would it help if I added another panel? Theyre new to solar power as am I. They thought this one panel would cover me. Id appreciate your thoughts.

You will more than likely need to upgrade your current solar panel setup because you are more than likely drawing too much power from your appliances and your 110W solar panel isn't producing enough power. Make sure you check what kind of power your other appliances are drawing and take that into consideration. We can expand your Go Power Solar Flex # 34272630, with the Go Power Solar Flex Expansion Kit # 34272629 which will provide an additional 110 W of solar power to your RV and should provide plenty of power.
