Question:
I have a 2017 Subaru Forester that doesnt currently have a hitch. From what Ive read on this site, this model year has a 15 1/2 inch ball height. I have one Esquif Heron Canoe 15foot 6 and one 2017 Hobie Mirage Outback 12 Ive been strongly considering the Yakima Rack and Role 78, but Im not sure what all Ill need to be able to connect the trailer and haul the above canoe/kayak hitch, ball, wiring harness, carriers, etc. I especially need to know what ball I need to deal with the delta between the Rack and Rolls 22inch ball height requirement and the Foresters 15 1/2 inch ball height. Thanks for your help!

The Class III hitch we offer for the 2017 that would sit up the highest on the vehicle would be the 2017 Subaru Forester would be the Draw-Tite # 76182 which would have a 16 inch hitch height, measured from the ground to the top inside edge of the receiver tube, this is what I'd recommend hitch-wise.
The Yakima # Y08107 Rack and Roll trailer would be a great choice for carrying your Canoe and fishing kayak, it would easily handle the approximate 175 lb combined weight of your canoe and fishing kayak.
You'll also need a trailer wiring harness like # 118467. To place the trailer ball at the necessary height, use the # C45100 ball mount along with a hitch pin like # PC2 and a 2 inch hitch ball like # 63845.
