Does the RVS-83112-WIFI have the ability to stay on in video mode w/o turning off? Im planning to use it to keep an eye on my tow dolly and car while at highway speeds, so whats the video quality at highway speeds?

I spoke with a representative from Rear View Safety and she told me that the Rear View Safety WiFi Hitch Backup Camera System - Wireless, part # RVS-83112-WiFi, can be left on at all times. You can add a monitor to the system or use your smartphone/tablet to see the camera's view. With regard to the connection, she indicated that traveling at highway speeds would not be her main concern with this application. It would be the chance of interference with your wifi signal while on the road. A wired camera might be better for this application. Unfortunately, this camera cannot be wired.
You could use something like the Rear View Safety Backup Camera System, part # RVS-770613-NM. It is a wired system that comes with a monitor. This system will require some drilling and is more of a permanent solution, while the WiFi Hitch Backup Camera mounts via a magnet and with the wifi it is not a permanent setup. .
