Question:
I was able to find the connector to plug in the trailer harness but didnt find any place to pull the harness through to the bottom. The only choice I saw was to drill a new hole. This seems to be the recommendation for the 2011 Subaru Tribeca. So just wanted confirmation before I start drilling holes in the cargo area?

On the 2008 Subaru Tribeca you will either need to stow the 4-Way in the cargo area and pull it out of the rear hatch and shut the hatch on the wiring (the weather stripping will protect it, stay away from the locking mechanism) OR you will have to drill through the bottom of the cargo area if no other options are available. Be sure to seal up the hole after you are finished to keep out fumes and moisture.
