Atwood RV AC Won't Turn Off After Reaching Desired Temperature

Question:

Our Atwood air conditioner never shuts off when the temperature is reached that is set. Is there a thermostat that will have an auto shut off like a home thermostat does? The noise of running continuously is very annoying when trying to sleep. I just want the unit to shut off when set temperature is reached. I tried the lock function when I saw it in your video but it did not do anything any different.

For your Atwood Air Command Rooftop RV Air Conditioner # AT15028-22, the most common reason your AC won’t turn off is usually because a stuck relay keeping the circuit closed, or your thermostat likely has a shorted cable or needs to be replaced.

Often, these inefficiencies are a result of clogged or restrictive air filters, dirty or frozen evaporator coils, dirty or blocked condensers, or low refrigerant.
