Will the Thule T2 Pro XT Fit on the Draw-Tite Hitch # 76082 on a 2021 Mercedes GLC SUV?

Question:

Im seeing conflicting information in the QandA for the Draw-Tite #76082. The hitch is listed as working on the 2016 to 2021 GLC SUVs as long as they arent the AMG 63 version. The Video states that there is about 6inch of distance between the center of the pin hole and the back of the bumper. One QandA answer says that the Thule T2 Pro XT wont fit because the distance from the center of the pin hole to the closest point of the rack is 7inch its actually 6.3inch when the rack is closedinch in its upright position, and that the distance from the pin hole to the back of the bumper is 7.5, so the Thule wont fit. This contradicts the video and other QandA answers. Ive been searching around all day and am not getting anywhere. What is the true distance from the pin hole to the back of the bumper on a 2021 GLC300 with the Draw-Tite hitch? Will the Thule T2 Pro XT or XTR they have the same measurements fit onto a GLC300 with the Draw-Tite hitch while down and loaded, and when stowed up its upright position? One of the QandAs for this product states that its higher up than the Curt version, and its pin hole is 1.5inch closer to the back of bumper than the Curt. Yet in the Curt video they said its 6inch from the center of the pin hole to the back of the bumper, which is the same as what the video for this hit says. So whats accurate? I want to ensure I get the proper hitch to fit the 2021 GLC 300 and the Thule T2 Pro XT. Could you please clear the air of the conflicting information?

For a 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC (SUV - excluding AMG 64), we do not know the precise measurement of the hitch distance with the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC (excluding AMC 63) to your face of the rear bumper. However, we do know the distance from the center of the pinhole to the face of the bumper from some recent models that will give us a pretty good estimate.

Thule T2 pro XTR # TH83JV and the Thule T2 Pro XT should fit on the Draw-Tite # 76082 because it has a 6-1/2 inch distance between the center pinhole and the closest part of the rack (when folded up). The Draw-Tite requires at least 6 inches (from a 2019 model GLC).

As far as the question about the Curt Receiver # C13290, that also requires 6 inches of clearance space between the center pinhole and the face of the bumper (from a 2020 model GLC). With that distance, the Thule T2 pro XTR # TH83JV and the Thule T2 Pro XT should fit the Curt as well. However, while these are good measurements, the fitment on your 2021 model may be slightly different from the measurements on the 2019 GLC and the 2020 GLC. We currently do not have the precise measurement of the Draw-Tite hitch along with your 2021 model Mercedes GLC SUV.

With all that being said, I recommend going with the Curt # C13290. The reason why is because the Curt is a great economical option that has a bigger tongue weight capacity (900 pounds) compared to the Draw-Tite (675).
