Question:

Currently have coach builder lift rear lift shackles 1.25 as part of my leveling kit. i am about to install a pop up truck camper that will be on the truck at all times adding roughly 500-600 lbs. will the sumo springs work with the rear lift shackles to keep the lift/level of the truck ? Thank you in advance

I spoke to SuperSprings and their SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-610-40 may work on your 2018 Tundra, but you will need to measure something to make sure as they are designed for stock ride height.

When the # SSR-610-40 is installed, it will measure 6.25" tall. Typically there will be a gap that is anywhere from .25" to 1" from the top of the spring to the bottom of the frame where it will make contact. They said that a gap that is larger than 1", they may not work very well. Unfortunately, SuperSprings does not offer a spacer kit, so if you do too large of a gap, this may not be the correct kit for you.

With that being said, the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Double Convoluted - Rear Axle # F2445 may be a better option. This is fully adjustable from 100 psi, giving you up to 4,800 pounds of load leveling capacity, and then down to 5 psi, making them feel nonexistent, which is nice.

One of the big pluses with a Firestone kit is that there are spacers available for lifted vehicles and I do have them listed below. This will be measured from the top of the bottom bracket to the bottom of the top bracket once they are installed.

6 1/2 to 7 1/2 - # F2536
7 1/2 to 8 1/2 - # F2366
8 1/2 to 9 1/2 - # F2367
9 1/2 to 10 1/2 - # F2370
11 1/2 to 12 1/2 - # F2374

The Firestone Air Command Compressor System w/ Light Duty Compressor - Wireless - Smartphone Enabled - Single Path # F2610 will be a potential add-on that will allow you to adjust the bags on the fly as well.
