Which Fuse In 2013 Ford F-150 Controls Trailer Turn Signals?
Question:
I had to get a new 4 connecter on my trailer and as I was trouble shooting I shorted the trailer turn signals. Previously my right and left trailer signals worked. Now they don’t. I checked the turn signals with my light tester and there is no power coming from the truck. I checked the relays under the hood and they seem fine. Is there another fuse I can check? Thanks

Since the trailer connector on your 2013 Ford F-150 is no longer sending power to the turn signal circuits on your trailer you will need to replace fuse # 73. This 20-amp fuse is located in the engine bay fuse box and is what sends power to the trailer turn signals and is what would have blown when you accidently shorted the trailer turn signals.
You will want to use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test each side of the fuse to verify if power is making it through or not as some times a fuse will look ok but actually isn't.

My Fuse #73 has blown a second time on my 2013 F-150. What would be the most likely cause of blowing this fuse more than once? Would the cause more likely be a problem with the trailer or a problem with the truck? I can replace the fuse but worried it’s just going to blow again. - Thanks

You nailed it! I examined the items marked right and left turn signals but did not know where else to look. Thanks so much.
