What Hitch and Wiring Harness do You Recommend for a 2022 Kia Telluride?

What hitch and tow wiring do I need for my 2022 Kia Telluride?

For a hitch for your 2022 Kia Telluride, I recommend the Curt Hitch Receiver - 2" # C13420. The Curt hitch is compatible with all Telluride models and comes with all mounting hardware required for a bolt-on installation. As far as weight capacity, the hitch has a 750 pound maximum tongue weight and a 5,000 pound gross towing rating. In order to confirm whether your vehicle can accommodate this much weight, I recommend confirming your vehicle's weight capacity with you owner's manual. In addition to the hitch, you will need a ball mount and ball like what is included in the etrailer Ball Mount Kit for 2" Hitches - 2-3/4" Rise or 4" Drop # 989892.
As far as wiring, if you need just brake lights/signal lights alone, you will only need the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # CU94FR. The T-Connector includes a powered converter to ensure that your vehicle's wiring matches that of your trailer. If you are looking to add a brake controller to the trailer, you will need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat # ETBC7 in addition to the T-One.
To add a brake controller, I recommend the Tekonsha Voyager # 39510 or the Curt Echo # C51180. Both of these controllers are proportional controllers which means that the controller activates the trailer brakes in proportion to your vehicle's braking action. The Voyager is more of a traditional-style controller that requires mounting into the dashboard of your vehicle near the steering wheel. On the other hand, the Curt Echo allows you to control the settings of your controller with the ease of your Smart device.
If you need help installing any of these accessories, I went ahead and linked walk-through videos to guide you through the process.
