Question:
Where exactly is the port to hook up a brake controller with the wiring harness I bought from e trailer. Its not the same as a 2020. From what I being reading truck built before Aug 2021 are not compatible with an aftermarket controller. Can you show a picture on where to hook up.

On some models of the 2021 Ford F-150 the brake controller install port is present but there just isn't any power ran to it for some reason. The solution for that is to use the part # BRK-ELECKIT which gives you the parts needed to activate this circuit. Basically it's a 12 gauge wire with a circuit breaker that runs up to the vehicle battery. To install the # TK90160 you referenced you'd also need the part # 22292 then.
We've also seen that the versions of the 21' F-150 made earlier in the year don't have a way to wire in a traditional brake controller and you'd have to go with a wireless one like the Curt Echo Mobile # C51180. Once plugged into an active 7-way and synced to a smart phone this is ready to tow with.
