The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13144 will not fit your 2021 Subaru Forrester. Apparently there was a design change between the 2017 and 2021 models that will not allow the # C13144 to be used.
A replacement hitch will be the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13409. This fully welded trailer hitch receiver bolts onto your Subaru Forester's frame with no welding required. Powder coated steel is sturdy and corrosion resistant.
For a wiring harness, you will need the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector
