Blue Ox Patriot Setup Problem 2005 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon

Question:

In the 2005 Jeep Rubicon the manual seat adrustment release bar is in the very fron of the seat. No matter how I position the Patriot when it presses the brake, the unit presses the seat release and moves the seat all the way to the rear. Blu Ox said put a piece of plywood in front of it. Ive tried various configurations of wood mockups but none work, as that doesnt really address the problem. Someone must have run into this and fixed it before me?

I spoke to my contact at Blue Ox and he told me there was a couple of different steps you could take to correct the issue of the Blue Ox Patriot Portable Braking System - Proportional # BLU37TR pushing against the front seat of your 2005 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.

He said that you can press the Patriot up against the seat pan under your front seat. This will keep your Patriot from hitting the manual seat adjustment bar and moving your seat backwards.

He also said that the push pad is adjustable so that you can adjust it in any direction you need to to keep it from pushing up against the manual seat adjustment.

If neither of those work for you, let me know and we can see about other troubleshooting steps there might be.
