When using a supplemental braking system that draws from the tow vehicle battery like the Blue Ox Patriot part # BRK2019 that you referenced on your 2021 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk you would need to use a battery charge kit like the part # RM-156-25 which we know works great on your vehicle as we have had the chance to install it on one and shoot a video which I attached an install video link to on this page.
