You will need to get the model number of the pin box, some of the more common pin box types are the Lippert 1621/1621HD and the Lippert 1116/1716. Once you know this you can select the proper replacement based of the pin box number and the Gross Trailer Weight (GTW).

For example if you have a Lippert pin box 1621/1621 HD and a GTW of 18,000 pounds I recommend the Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box - Lippert 1621/1621HD # GY58GR. This shock-absorbing pin box works with your gooseneck hitch to give a smooth ride while you tow your fifth-wheel trailer. The all-in-1 box has no air bags to refill or small parts to replace. And the auto-latch allows for easy hookup. It also has a cable that lets you pull to release the latch so you don't need to climb into the bed of your truck to uncouple the trailer.

You will also need safety chains like the Reese Safety Chain Kit with Clevis Hooks - 44" Long - 20,000 lbs - Qty 2 # RP49151.
