Do you think this cargo carrier would be too wide for a 2012 Subaru Forester? If so, do you have any recommendations? The car has a 2inch hitch.

The most popular hitch mounted cargo carrier we sell among other 2012 Subaru Forester owners is the Pro Series 24x60 Cargo Carrier # 63153. This carrier is 60 inches wide like the Stromberg Carlson 23x60 Cargo Carrier # CC-100 that you referenced which shows that most people do not find 60 inches to be too wide for the vehicle.
You could measure the width of your vehicle with a tape measure and compare it to the 60 inches that the carrier would be and see if you would be comfortable with a carrier that wide.
