Which Reese Goose Box that Fits Forest River 356RL
Question:
I have a Forest River 356RL 5th wheel with a Lippert hitch. The Lippert product sticker says the Item # is 226831. Stamped on the base and a sticker on the hitch is the number 4X4FSAL25CJ025945. Id like to replace the 5th wheel hitch with the GIN-Y or Reese gooseneck hitch. Can you identify the correct replacement? Thanks so much,

From other customers we've determined that the Forest River 356RL uses the Lippert 1716 pin box so you would need the part # RP94716-61301 for a 16k Goosebox or for a # RP85FR with the adapter part # RP61301 for a 20k capacity.
Or for a Gen-Y you'd want the part # GY48FR. I really like the cushioning of the Gen-Y but the Goose Box is only option that won't void warranty of trailer frame so it would be what I would recommend.
