aka WHY CU89FR replaced by C67JR? Replacement has slightly lower load ratings. Do they share the same receiver tube location height above ground and protrusion behind the bumper? For 2020 Outback.

Yes, both hitches for your 2020 Subaru Outback have the same receiver location and protrusion, the discontinued 13437 (CU89FR) and the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C67JR.
The # C67JR has a hidden crosstube and will install in the exact same location, it just has a couple of extra mounting points in the brackets, but is otherwise the same.
If you do decide to go with this hitch for your '20 Outback and are going to do some towing, you'll also need a wiring harness, with the correct fit being the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118467.
