In order for you to tow a travel trailer, you will need a 7-way connector on your 2022 Chevrolet Blazer. This may be a two step process. If you already have a 4-way connector on your vehicle, you can skip the 4-way installation section and go straight to the 7-way installation section. If not, you first need to install a 4-way connecter on your vehicle, then you can install the 7-way connector.
My 4-way wiring harness recommendation is the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part # 118720. This is a plug and play wiring harness, so the installation is simple. You will find the connection point in the rear cargo area behind the access cover at the center of the rear harness.
The next step is to install a 7-way connector. I recommend the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires, part # ETBC7. This installation will require the splicing of some wires, so I also recommend the use of Dielectric Grease for Electrical Connectors, 2 oz., part # 11755. The use of the dielectric grease during the installation will help eliminate corrosion. It also good to have a circuit tester handy during these installations, something like the Hook Probe Circuit Tester, part # PTW2993, to make sure the correct voltages are going to your wiring harnesses.
I have included product description links, two very helpful weblinks about wiring, an installation video showing the 4-way harness being installed, and demo video links below.
