How To Install The Roadmaster Universal Brake Monitoring System In A 2013 Honda CR-V

Any suggestions on best wiring hookup for this part? Brake system is Demco stay-in-play duo, installed on a 2013 Honda CR-V. Instructions that came with part are not too helpful.

To install the Roadmaster Universal Brake Monitor # RM-9530 on your Honda CR-V you will want to first install the Roadmaster Universal Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751000. This kit will have three wires, red (ground), black (power), and blue (brake signal). You'll want to run the red and black wires directly to the battery with the included inline fuse holder.

Once this is installed you'll attach the blue wire from your stop light kit to the blue wire on your brake monitor. The yellow wire from the brake monitor is going to connect to you breakaway switch to alert you in the event of a breakaway. The red wire of the brake monitor will be your power and will run directly to your vehicle's battery with another inline fuse holder. The black wire is going to be your ground.

Next you'll want to go back to the stop light switch kit to and take a small screwdriver to press and hold the recessed button on the kit to set the "home" position. It will begin to blink green and then stop once it's learned this position. The green light on your monitor kit should be lit at this point. If not, then you'll want to recheck the connection of the blue wires. You can test the monitor by pressing the brake pedal. The yellow light on the monitor should power on while the brake is depressed.

I've attached some videos that will walk you through the installation of these two kits so that you can see when the brakes of your 2013 Honda CR-V are being activated from your motorhome.
