One of the more straightforward differences about the Draw-Tite Hitch - 2" # DT73GR and the etrailer Hitch - 2" # e63ZR for your 2021 Ford Ranger is the overall weight capacity. The Draw-Tite has a maximum tongue weight rating of 1,125 pounds and a maximum gross towing weight of 7,500 pounds. The etrailer hitch, on the other hand, has a maximum tongue weight rating of 900 pounds and a maximum gross towing weight of 6,000 pounds.
Your vehicle only allows 7,500 towing capacity and 750 tongue weight. You must adhere to those limits.

As far as other differences to consider, the etrailer hitch is assembled in the U.S.A. and the Draw-Tite is not. When it comes to the installation process, the Draw-Tite hitch requires you to lower the spare tire on your truck (if you have one) during the installation. With the etrailer hitch, you will not need to do this.

With the ease of installation coupled with the fact that the etrailer hitch was assembled in the U.S.A., I recommend the etrailer hitch over the Draw-Tite. If you are planning on towing with your hitch, I recommend a ball mount/ball like the ones included in the Curt Towing Starter Kit # C45534. Since a 4-way comes standard on your 2021 Ford Ranger, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector # 22124 if you want to add a potential brake controller like the Curt Echo # C51180 to your trailer.

As with all towing/hitches, it is important that you confirm with your vehicle's owner's manual that your Ranger can tow as much weight as you want to tow.
