Parts Needed For Installing Demco DM8550022 Auto Slide 5TH Wheel Hitch on 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500

Question:

I just bought a 5th wheel from a friend who is also giving me his Demco Autoslide hitch. I was able to find the hitch as your item number DM8550022. My question is what mounting kit do I need for this hitch to fit on my 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD with the short bed? I don't have the factory prep system so it is a clean bed.

To install the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # DM8550022 on your 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD you will need the Underbed Rail and Installation Kit # DR37FR. This kit is custom fit for the short bed on your Silverado and will not require drilling on your frame rails to install the brackets. Drilling must be done on the bed itself for the 2" openings required for the mounting points.

I recommend installing the Hopkins Endurance 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness # HM54FR inside the bed of your Silverado. This will allow you to plug in the 7-way inside your bed rather than trying to route it over the tailgate where the wiring is likely to become damaged from chafing or pulling on the connector.
