Installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C22UR on your 2022 Toyota Sienna will not disable your liftgate sensor but will block a portion of the space the sensor would have sensed your foot in. This will require you to just place your foot on either side of the receiver and move your foot in and out until you find the sweet spot for the sensor.
If you plan on towing a small trailer with your Sienna you will also need a 4-pole wiring harness to transfer your stop/turn signals to the lights on the trailer as well. For this I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # TK69FR. This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located in the rear cargo area. You will have to remove the plastic threshold cover, side panels, cargo trays, and interior trim panels to access this harness. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed in your rear cargo area or can be mounted to the rear bumper or hitch using the Mounting Bracket 4-Pole Flat # 18144.
For a good starter ball mount kit I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit for 2" Hitches - 7,500lbs # 989900. This kit will come with a 1-7/8" hitch ball and 2" hitch ball. It has a drop of 2" or 4" and a rise of 1" or 3" to keep your trailer level while towing.
