Recommended Hitch Receiver For My 2022 Hyundai Palisade

Question:

Does it matter what hitch receiver I get? They all do the same thing, right? Am I missing something? I have a 2022 Hyundai Palisade.

The short answer is yes, there are some differences between the different hitch receivers that will fit your 2022 Hyundai Palisade. There are some differences in finish, but the most important differences will be the clearances of the hitch receivers. There may be ground clearance differences and the distance between the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the vehicle's bumper, may also be different. You will have the choice of three hitch receivers for your vehicle.

Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2", part # C13427, has a maximum tongue weight of 750 lbs and a maximum gross trailer weight of 5,000 lbs. It has a hidden cross tube. The distance from the center of the hitch receiver hole to the rear of your vehicle is 2-1/2". It also measures 13" from the ground to the top inside edge of the receiver tube.

The next hitch receiver is the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2", part # DT32RR, has a maximum tongue weight of 750 lbs and a maximum gross trailer weight of 5,000 lbs. The distance from the center of the hitch receiver hole to the rear of your vehicle is 5". It also measures 13-1/2 " from the ground to the top inside edge of the receiver tube.

The last hitch receiver that fits your vehicle is the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2", part # e95ZR, has a maximum tongue weight of 500 lbs and a maximum gross trailer weight of 5,000 lbs. The distance from the center of the hitch receiver hole to the rear of your vehicle is 4". It also measures 13-1/2 " from the ground to the top inside edge of the receiver tube.

These hitch receivers will all need a drop hitch if you plan on towing with your vehicle. The major differences between the three are with the weight capacity and the distance between the center of your hitch pin hole and the edge of your bumper. If forced to choose, I would go with the Curt offering because it offers good maximum weight capacities and the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper measures only 2". This makes it compatible with more items than the other choices.

I have included product description links and installation video links below.
