Will this latter rack work with a Bak MX4 on a 2018 F-150 with 5.5 bed? I have read other places where it indicates that this rack will only work on rolling tonneau covers. Thanks.

For your 2018 Ford F-150 5-1/2' bed I recommend using the Adarac Pro Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack # A4000964 with your BAKFlip MX4 Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK48329. The Pro Series uprights are vertical and do not angle in like the Adarac Aluminum Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack # A4001234. The Aluminum Series uprights having the bends will cause issues with folding tonneau covers like the MX4.
The different racks is likely why you are finding the different information.
