Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch for 2014 3500 Series Dodge Ram Pickup with 8 Foot Bed

Im looking at purchasing a 2014 dodge ram 3500 hd with 8 foot bed, also a 2019 forest river sandpiper 379flok. My question is what 5th wheel hitch will i need for the dodge ram to be able to pull the camper, it does not have the rails in the bed

If your 2014 Ram has the OEM puck system, I suggest the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch, # BWRVK3600.

If you do not have the puck system, then I suggest the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, # BWRVK3255 for an 18K hitch. Or, the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, # BWRVK3200 for a 16K model.

Each of these options will install with the B&W Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches, # BWRVK2605. These custom brackets reduce the amount of time required to install the hitch, the mounting brackets install beneath truck bed to provide attachment points for above-bed base rails.

The last option will be the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, # BWRVK3500-5W for a 20K option that installs using the Custom Underbed Installation Kit for B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches, # BWGNRK1314-5W.

What I like abut the B&W products are the 1" thick precision machined jaws that provide a 360-degree jaw-to-king-pin contact with tight tolerances.
