Recommended Inverter Wattage For Powering A Refrigerator With 1.1amp Draw

Question:

i have 3 -55ah agm deep cycle batteries that i would like to use in my camper van. im interested in an inverter to power my fridge that draws 1.1 amp on a 120 volt AC power. I will hook these batteries in series and was thinking a 2,000 watt pure sign wave inverter would be the correct size. Please help me in choosing the correct one. Thank you.

You will not want to wire the batteries in series as this will increase the voltage but not the amp hours. Wiring three 12v 55ah batteries is just going to give you a 36v 55ah battery which will not be compatible with an inverter. Instead you'll want to wire the three batteries in parallel to have a 12v 165ah battery. The Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter - GFCI - 2,000 Watt - 12V # 34278156 you were looking at is going to be more than enough to power your refrigerator.
