Hitch Extender for Hauling a 12 Foot Long Kayak

Question:

I have a small 4x8 trailer that I use to pull my 12 kayak. As you can imagine close to 4 sticks out the backside of the trailer. I would like a solution which would allow me to extend the trailer tongue so that 4 of the kayak isnt sticking out from behind the trailer. The trailer tongue is 2 square tubing. Do you have a solution or even a sleeve I can weld on the outside of the 2 tubing to make it longer? Thanks in advance!

Yes, I have a solution for your problem. It is the Reese Hitch Extender for 2" Trailer Hitches - 18" Long item # RP11004. This extender will fit your F-250's 2" receiver and will give you an extra 18" between your truck and trailer. This hitch extender will reduce your hitch receivers capacity by 35% but it sounds like your trailer and kayak do not weigh that much.
