Question:
I have a Yakima 2” holdup rack bought sometime around 2011 best estimate, and I don’t know which specific model it is. I looked at Yakima’s website and they list 8890200 as the replacement bolt for models from 2008?to present. So I thought this Y8890200 would work. It threads in to start with, but the thread pitch is different—I couldn’t get the new bolt all the way in, and after I pulled it out, the bolt threads were rounded off. It doesn’t help that Yakima is running several weeks behind on their response to customer inquiries. Is there another bolt with a different pitch? How do I determine the model of my rack?

The Yakima Holdup Bike Racks regardless of generation all use the Hitch Bolt part # Y8890200. It's possible you stripped the nut so in which case you would just need the Replacement Nut Retainer and Nut part # Y90254.
