Question:
Hello. I need procuct recomendations for my particular situation. 2015 F-150 2x4, 7x16 tandem axel trailer, trailer empty weighs 2200 pounds. Cargo being hauled once a week weighs 1500 pounds. Only about 300 pounds of the 1500 pounds of cargo is rear of the trailer axels. I need help controling the load when passing and being passed by 18 wheelers. There is not a significant amount of sway, but I get sucked towards the simi and the steering on the truck becomes very light. My trailer only has 24.5 inches of exposed tongue. Most WD hitches will not fit from what I can tell. I would be very grateful for your recomendations.

I found a weight distribution hitch that will fit your 24.5-inch tongue. That system is the Blue Ox TrackPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - 7-Hole Shank # BLU36FR. The TrackPro only requires 20" to 25" to mount the lift-brackets. The installation is a no-drill process with the clamp-on brackets. With this system, you will receive more control when passing/being passed my 18-wheelers.
As far as weight capacity, the maximum weight of your cargo is 3,700 pounds. This weight falls within the maximum 6,000 pound towing capacity of the TrackPro. Also, since your tongue weight is around 370-550 pounds, it falls within the range of the TrackPro as well.
