For your short bed 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500 with OEM pucks, I definitely recommend the Demco Hijacker # DM8550034 (18k) or # DM8550035 (21k). The reason why this model is the best is because of the autoslide feature that automatically activates the slide so you do not have to leave the comfort of the cab to adjust it. The Hijacker also comes with a single wraparound jaw that provides a better and quieter connection than sliding jaw models.
In order to complete the installation of either model of the Hijacker, you do need the Demco Fifth Wheel Adapter # DM6333. This adapter includes a simple installation into your OEM pucks.
