I recommend the Gen-Y Torsion 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers # 325-GH-1324 as being the best way to extend your hitch ball on your F-250. Currently we do not have any 12-14" extenders that are rated to tow the 8,000lbs you are needing to tow.
The Gen-Y hitch places the hitch ball at either 17-1/2" or 19" depending on which hitch pin hole your use. Included with the hitch is a 2 ball mount that has a 2" and 2-5/16" hitch ball. The shank fits your 2-1/2" receiver so that there is no need for a sleeve to reduce to a 2" shank. You can place the ball from a 6" rise to a 6" drop by orienting the hitch in a rise or drop orientation, and choosing one of the 4 available 2-1/2" receivers on hitch. As this is a cushioned receiver you will also get a more enjoyable ride when towing your trailer.
The InfiniteRule Lock Set # 34061651-D will provide you with keyed alike locks for securing the Gen-Y hitch to your F-250.
