Why Would The Lippert Power Stance Work Off The Auxiliary Cord And Not The Coach Battery?
Question:
Im trying to wire up my electric jack off a blue top optima battery. It will not work when I hook it to the battery but will operate just fine from the aux cable on the tow vehicle. Question is... what is the minimum volts the jack needs to operate? Should I add a bigger gauge wire? Currently just adding on to the 10 gauge wire it came equipped with, the cable run is no longer than 8 feet total. I can still use the jack with the aux cable but I would like to be able to use the trailer battery. Thank you

It sounds like you have one of two possible issues with the Lippert Power Stance Electric Trailer Jack # LC89VR.
First there is a fuse on the power wire that is not present on the Auxiliary Power Cord # LC79VR. Be sure to check the fuse.
The second issue to check is your ground connection. Since your trailer frame is painted as well as the jack the mounting brackets do not always make the best contact. The jack uses the frame as the ground circuit so you may need to grind off some of the paint to ensure it is making a good connection.

My PowerSwap cord worked fine last time I used it, but today no dice. Connected to PowerStance jack from my Yukon 7 way standard connector and no power to jack at all. Is there a fuse in the PowerSwap cord assembly? Have any idea what could be wrong? The PowerStance jack works fine from the trailer battery. Just does not work from the cord anymore. Thanks in advance for any advice. Ken Gittins
