Recommended Vent Fan for Van Conversion

Question:

I am looking at purchasing a Maxx Air Fan for a fan. Wanting to have air flow in and out. Looking at Deluxe model. Possibly Maxx Air 00-07500K MaxxFan Deluxe with Remote - Smoke. I tried looking for what you have on line. I am converting a van so could not find models for vans. Thanks Wayne

For a van conversion, I suggest the MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan, Thermostat, and Remote, # MA00-07500K for smoke and # MA00-07000K for white vent cover. These options have a built-in rain shield and a thermostat on the 10 speed fan. This rain shield lets you operate in the fan during inclement weather without the need to buy an additional cover. This a reversible fan so you can either pull air from the van or draw air in. You can either control the fan from the pad located on unit or from an included remote. It has 2 Powered lifting arms for the vent cover but also has a manual knob that lets you open and close the vent if there is a power loss.

This fit roofs that are 1-1/8" to 6-1/2" thick and uses the industry standard opening size of 14"x14". The vent set above the roof only 5" when closed and when open, 9-5/16".

And, we have sold these to others doing a van build, some have even installed on the side of the van. The Redline 2-Way Pop-Up Roof Vent, # RV-626-062-2756 in aluminum and the # 9106-2756 in steel with a black paint. This pop-up vent opens in either of 2 directions so you can scoop in fresh air or keep out rain no matter which way the wind is blowing. This provides the option, when working with the thermostat controlled MaxxFan to lock up the van and pop open the side vents to draw in fresh air while you are securely parked but away from the van.

Because you are doing a van build out, I will add an FYI in case you are adding a bathroom area to the build and need it. The MaxxFan Dome Plus Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - LED Light - 6" Diameter, # MA00-03810W and # MA00-03810B.
