Hello, I have a 2022 base model Subaru Forester. I am wondering if this can support this tow hitch see below or perhaps another model. There are 6 models of the Forester mentions towing on 5 of them, all but the base.

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13409 fits all models of the 2022 Subaru Forester, including your base model. This is a custom fit Class III hitch with a 2" receiver. The hitch has a maximum gross trailer weight of 3,500 lbs and tongue weight of 525 lbs. Make sure to consult your owner's manual to see how much your vehicle is capable of towing, you will be limited by whichever capacity is lower between the hitch and vehicle.
Since it sounds like you will be towing you will also want wiring. I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118467. This wiring harness is made by Tekonsha, which we have found to be the most reliable. The T-One connector will plug into the connection point in your rear cargo area, providing you with a 4-way to power your trailer's signal lights.
In order to complete your setup you will also need a ball mount. Check out the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. This kit has two ball mounts, one with a 3/4" rise or 2" drop and the other with a 2-3/4" rise or 4" drop. It also comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball, as well as a ball mount bag to store everything in.
