Can the Manual Inflation Valves Remain When Installing Firestone Air Command I Air Compressor

I’m thinking of adding Firestone #2430 air bags to my ‘13 Silverado 1500. Can I use this #2097 compressor with them and can I also tee off and use the Schroeder valve too in case of compressor failure? Also, is there a weather proof box to install it in before I mount it to the frame? Thanks

You can definitely use the Firestone Air Command I - Analog Gauge w/ Heavy-Duty Compressor # F2097 with the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2430. This is a single path system so it will keep both air bags at the same pressure. You can also keep the manual inflation valves in the unlikely event the compressor fails and you need them.

The air compressor is weatherproof so there is no need for a box and no such product is available. That being said, you still want to mount the compressor in a position that won't result in it taking the brunt of water coming off of your tires if possible.

I have attached some review and installation videos for your reference.
