Question:
Hello, I now have a companion slider 5th wheel hitch in my 2019 chevy 2500 6 1/2 foot bed. Im looking to trade for a 2022 GMC 3500 long bed. ? Is, will I need a slider in a long bed , or will a standard replacement base be ok?

You will not need a sliding hitch like the B&W Companion # BWRVK3770 you currently have. A sliding hitch is needed on a short bed truck because of the positioning of where the hitch will be mounted, in relation to the cab of your truck and it being too close to each other. The slider would slide back when you make tight turns while towing your 5th wheel trailer, that way there will be no impact to your truck cab.
If your 2022 GMC Sierra 3500 has the OEM prep (pucks) package, you can use # BWRVK3710, or if you do not have the OEM prep package, you'll need # BWRVK3500-5W and the base rails # BWGNRK1020-5W.
