Troubleshooting Oil Leaking from 10,000 Pound Axles

You either have an oil cap or oil seal leaking on your 10,000 lb axles. I would start by checking the seal. For the replacement oil seal, you most likely need # 10-56 which has an inner diameter of 3.125 and outer diameter of 4.500 inches. I recommend measuring the inner diameter of your current seal to verify that this fits.

For a replacement oil cap you will want to measure the outer diameter of your current oil cap. For example, if you have a 3.5" outer diameter you would need the Replacement Oil Cap Kit for 9,000-lb and 10,000-lb Dexter Axle # RG04-300.

If you also need more oil I recommend the Kodiak Synthetic Bearing Oil for Oil Bath Hubs - 8 oz Bottle # XLPROLUBE.

I have attached some review and installation videos, along with links to all of our oil caps and seals that can be filtered down by diameter.
