Question:
Hi is there any chance I can adapt a Yakima 1027 8000124 to the top of a Chevy Colorado, or fins appropriate adaptors ? Thank you

There is a solution for you that will allow you to still use Yakima round bars, if you have them. Unfortunately, since the Q-Towers have been discontinued and the new system is not backwards compatible, you will need new towers, a fit kit, and round bar adapters. This is what you need for your 2017 Chevrolet Colorado.
BaseLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars - Naked Roofs - Qty 4, part # Y28TR
RoundBar SL Adapter for Yakima BaseLine, SkyLine, TimberLine, and RidgeLine Towers - Qty 4, part # Y03536
BaseClip Fit Kit for Yakima BaseLine Roof Rack Towers - Qty 4, part # Y06110
With this setup, you can use the Yakima round crossbars and the locks from your old rack. The new BaseLine system has adjustments the Q-tower never had, pitch and toe. These will help keep your roof rack level and provide a better fit for your BaseLine foot.
With regard to adapting the Q-tower to fit your Chevrolet Colorado. This is a do-it yourself project that I would not recommend. It would require bending clips and forcing a Q-tower fit on a vehicle that was never fit for that system.
I have included product description links and a video review link below.
