Swagman 4-Bike Rack for Use Behind Fifth Wheel RV
Question:
I have learned that the physics behind using a 2 inch receiver bike rack is not a good idea. The sway stresses the steel. This is what I have been told by other rack makers. I see that you advertise the Swagman rack has compatibility with Fifth Wheels and other trailers. What makes Swagman different?

According to my technical contact at Swagman the company has done extensive testing regarding the forces that are expected when using a hitch mounted bike rack on the receiver of an RV and other trailers. As a result of this testing they have specifically over engineered the bike racks to accommodate the additional forces that will be exerted on the bike racks.
Swagman has tested and over engineered specific of their bike racks to handle the forces and stresses related to being used on the back of trailer or RVs.
