Question:
I need a replacement axle. Currently have a Dexter 3500# 89 inch hub face 4" Drop, underslung spring axle. 2 3/8 diameter 70 inch spring center or loose spring seats thank you for your time.

The Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with 4" Drop E-Z Lube Spindles # 8327812 is going to be the closest to the Dexter axle you described. This axle has a 89" hub face to hub face measurement with a 4" drop spindle and underslung design. The axle is rated for 3,500lbs and the spring seats on the axle measure 74". You can weld on some new Spring Seats # TRSS238 to the 70" measurement that you are needing. I do recommend new U-Bolts # APUBR-1 as your current bolts will likely have corrosion.
Two of the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assemblies # 84545UC1-EZ can be used if you do not require trailer brakes. This will give you the common 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern used on 3,500lbs axles.
You will need two of the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assemblies # 84546UC3-EZ and a Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-468-469 if you will need electric brakes. This will give you the same 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern as the previous hub.
