Can Access Holes for Installing Draw-Tite 65046 Front Receiver Be Drilled on Outside of Frame
Question:
I am going to mount a Draw-Tite 65046 on my 2008 Dodge 2500 Diesel, the instructions say to drill the 1-1/4inch access holes on the inside of each frame. I cannot do this easily because of the radiator etc. Do these holes have to be on the inside of the frame or can they be on the outside of the frame?

I checked with my contact in the Tech Services department at Draw-Tite, and was told that it would indeed be acceptable to drill those 1-1/4 inch access holes on the outside of the truck's frame members if necessary.
