Curt A16 5TH Wheel Hitch Rattles in Bed Rails When Doors and Tailgate are Closed
Question:
I have a 2018 F250 with bed rails and the A16 hitch. The hitch legs seem to not be level and causing the hitch to rattle in the bed rails. Towing a Grand Design Reflection 150 series 290BH. Every time you close a door or the tailgate you can hear the hitch rattling in the bed rails. I have taken the hitch out of the bed and placed it on my garage floor and it seems that the front right leg is higher than the others.

It is not strange that the one leg of the Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16120 sits higher than the other. As the Legs # C16920 are bolted to the Head # C16520 with the Hardware Kit # C16125-SK4 you can loosen the bolts to level the legs and even them all out.
We also have the Fifth Wheel Rail Sound Dampeners # 16900 that you can place between the 5th wheel rails and hitch to help eliminate the rattling you are getting.
