Fitment of Curt 5th Wheel Hitch for 2022 GMC Sierra 2500

We have a 2022 GMC 2500HD Sierra with a towing prep package. Is this a good fifth wheel hitch for this vehicle? C 16536 and C88KR?

The Curt Q20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R20 Slider # C16536 is a decent hitch and matches well with a short bed 2022 GMC Sierra 2500 with towing prep package. You will want it installed using the Adapter Rails for Curt 5th Wheel Hitch, # C88KR. However, the A series, Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R20 Slider, # C16541 is Curt's updated version 5th wheel hitch, it features a sturdier locking jaw mechanism. The A20 features an interlocking 2-jaw system as opposed to the standard 2-jaw system on the Q20. This interlocking mechanism allows the jaws to completely wrap around the king pin for a better connection and a smoother, quieter ride and it's the one I recommend for Curt branded products.

For an equally weight rated at 20K 5th wheel hitch, I recommend the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package, # BWRVK3775. The B&W option is a much greater value in my opinion. The 1" thick jaw on the Companion provide 360-degree jaw-to-king-pin contact and are precision machined to provide a tight, sturdy connection.
