Reese 39523 PowerTrac Brake Controller Not Operating Correctly on 2021 Jeep Gladiator

Question:

Ok, I found a trailer to plug into. Light turned green when I connected. Sitting still in parking, I slide lever on controller and light changes. Still sitting in still in park, I press brake pedal, and light stays green. I did but a factory harness to go with my gladiator to controller

I checked with my Tekonsha representative, and found that Mopar uses a very low voltage for their stop lamp signal which is too low for some entry-level brake controllers like the # 39523 PowerTrac brake controller to pick up and operate correctly which is why we don't actually show that brake controller as being compatible in our fitguide for the 2021 Gladiator.

The Draw-Tite Activator IV, part # 5504 is the least expensive controller we offer that's compatible with your Gladiator and the Tekonsha # 3073-P harness, if that's the one you're using.
