The fishing rod carriers we have are universal mount options but to use them with your 2022 BMW X3 we need to get a roof rack on your vehicle and for that I recommend the Inno Aero Roof Rack System which uses the following:

Now that you have a roof rack we can look at various options like the Rhino-Rack 4 Rod Carrier # RR572, the Yakima TopWater # Y04088, or the Thule Rod Vault # TH87YV for fly fishing rods. From here it's just a matter of determining what kind of rod carrier you want which partly has to do with how serious you are about fishing. For example, I maybe go once a year, if that, and use cheap fishing poles so the Rhino-Rack is what I'd go with for myself.
